Veterinary Imaging Consulting of Texas is operated by Andra K. Voges, D.V.M., D.A.C.V.R. (Diplomate in the American College of Veterinary Radiology). Andra graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. After working as a mixed animal practitioner in the central Texas area for 2 years, she decided to specialize in radiology. Dr. Voges spent 3 years training to be a radiologist at the University of Florida (UF) College of Veterinary Medicine. In 1996, Andra completed her residency in radiology and became a Diplomate in the American College of Veterinary Radiology. Dr. Voges remained on the faculty at UF for a short period before joining a private practice referral hospital in southwest Florida. She moved to San Antonio in 2000 and began operating the current practice, then known as Gulf Coast Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging-San Antonio. In 2002, Dr. Voges purchased this practice and changed the name to Veterinary Imaging Center of South Texas, P.A. VIC moved into the newly constructed Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center (VREC) in September 2004. In late summer 2015, Andra left San Antonio to join the faculty at Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine as an associate professor in radiology/imaging and transitioned VIC to a teleradiology company or Veterinary Imaging Consulting of Texas. Dr. Voges considers herself very lucky, as she truly "loves her job." She enjoys all aspects of imaging, especially diagnostic radiology, ultrasound and scintigraphy. Andra has been married for over 25 years and has 3 young adult children. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
